Plans are coming along nicely for BN’s first National Convention, to be held at Ilam Hall in the Peak District from April 27-29. We need your support to make this event a success, everyone benefits, but we do need you to book.

February 2012

It's that time again – membership for 2012 is due - for less than 10p a day you get a wide range of support and information, this is exceptional value. My challenge to you for 2012 is… Become a gossip for naturism, encourage others to join us.

Plans are coming along nicely for BN's first National Convention, to be held at Ilam Hall in the Peak District from April 27-29.  The National Convention (NatConv for short!) is a conference and training weekend for everyone in the community – clubs and swims, regions and individual members. It will replace the existing annual clubs and regions meetings. We hope that people will see it as something "different" they can do with their interest in Naturism and come away having learned something and –  we hope – be inspired to get more involved in BN's work. We're working on the actual programme and will publish soon: Details here. As we have to pay to hire the venue, we need to make sure it is going to be well supported and so thereis a cut off point for bookings of 24 February, so please don't delay. If you want to be a volunteer in the south west this is a good place to start.

December 2011

The festive season comes round very quickly. The end of year results are great. Member numbers are good, new members are even better. It’s all Fantastic!

Last weekend I spent a brilliant evening at the Barton Swim. The facilities are exceptional, with Sauna, Steam, Jacuzzi and pool. Veronica and John are great hosts and very welcoming. Contact 07789 265333 to try it for yourself.

A number of swims in the region have individual needs, could you help to organise or support. Numbers are low in some areas and need positive people to welcome new comers to the lifestyle. Please get involved where you can, swims are our winter sunshine and growth is our aim. The BN New Year Swim Promotion 2012 will take place in January and February across the country – will your swim get involved? More details soon.

October 2011

You will have seen the motion to withdraw from the INF. I am asking you to fully consider the consequences of doing so before you submit your vote. Being part of a larger community brings international mutual understanding which opens up further naturist opportunities for us all. I am happy to carry your proxy vote but you do have the option of a postal vote. I encourage you all to use it. Remember your vote must be at the office by the 1st October 2011.

On a regional level, the winter is drawing in and the swims provide our seasonal ‘sunshine’!! Do you find your local swim welcoming? Remember it is the responsibility of us all to welcome and encourage new faces, growth is essential to our future. Look around the region for a bargain, that 2 for 1 offer, take a friend, remember the 2011 challenge -there’s still time to recruit new members.
